Tom is an energy engineer who joined us in 2021 to assist our clients with energy efficiency and carbon abatement projects. He enjoys the challenge of developing holistic, elegant solutions to engineering problems associated with de-carbonisation of industry.
Tom graduated with an Honours degree in Engineering from Auckland in 2019. He specialised in Chemical and Process Engineering and has previous experience with various manufacturing industries in Aotearoa.
In a recent project for Great South, Tom provided a cost-benefit analysis for de-carbonising some big thermal energy users in Southland. For Preens Apparelmaster Otago, he measured and mapped energy use, loss, potential savings, and calculated the outlay cost of options for our client.
Tom is not afraid to muck in for a good cause, having previously volunteered for DOC doing pest control and planting natives in Maugatautari and Orokonui Ecosanctuaries.
